Lizzy B – Unschooling Parent
“I brought this pack last night for my suspected PDAer who is home ed. This is what I’ve been looking for for three years. It’s got all the things I’ve been looking for, and will suit my reluctant writer, STEM-obsessed, outdoor adventuring nine year old and give me some great ideas to inject into our home ed. Great work!”

Say goodbye to frustration and get ready to celebrate the ways they do learn!
- Your child needs freedom, choice, and flexibility to learn - or they'll refuse.
- They're recognised as PDA, ADHD, neurodivergent or simply strong-willed, spirited, and determined to do things their own way!
- School isn't the right fit, but 'homeschool' doesn't work and 'unschooling' leaves you all drifting...
- You’re out of ideas or energy or both!
- You love seeing your child curious & engaged - and you're desperate to see more of it.
Each resource respects that adult-led education has value AND that some children need to be in charge to feel safe and thrive.
You’ll find hundreds of ways to invite your child to explore new concepts, while never forcing them – because that’s a recipe for disaster!
“Amazing resources – given me loads of great ideas, thank you.”
Sophie B – Home Educating Parent
“Such a variety of ideas and caters to everyone! It’s given me back some of my much needed head space!”
Claire C – Parent of Neurodivergent Children
“I’m loving the pack. It’s just on the right wavelength for my approach to learning with a PDA 7 year old. This will really take the pressure off. It’s good to feel like someone ‘gets it’.”
Kay W – Parent of a PDA child

Hi! I’m Saskia, a neurodivergent home-educating mum of three who gets it – some kids need full autonomy to learn, and for us home-educating parents, that can be… interesting! Having tried (and failed) at various approaches, The Low-Demand Learning Pack is a mix of tips & tools we use to make home learning work for our busy-brained, autonomy-needing family.
How do I access this?
After purchase, you will be able to download the pack as a .zip file. Inside you will find a collection of PDF files, some of which include links to editable Canva templates.
You will also be sent a receipt to your email, which includes the download link for future reference.
Is this resource digital or physical?
The Low-Demand Learning Pack is a digital resource with printable elements. Some of the resources you might like to have printed so they’re on-hand without needing your phone, but they can also be referred to digitally if you prefer.
If you don’t have access to a printer, you can take some of the printable ideas and recreate the prompts by hand as-and-when you want to use them.
Is this a curriculum?
No. This pack was designed to provide a bundle of ideas, tips, tools and inspiration you can dip in-and-out of whenever you feel like it. It is not a curriculum or a step-by-step programme. It’s much more flexible!
This pack would be a brilliant resource for thinking about how you could make other curriculums more accessible to a child who requires autonomy and novelty.
What age is this pack for?
The Low-Demand Learning Pack features a mix of ideas and tools suitable for ages 4-12+ (depending on your child). It’s incredibly flexible as it provides starting points which meet your children where they are – whatever their age. For example, a Curiosity Card encouraging Engineering will prompt a very different level of interaction and conversation depending on the age of the child using it.
The included ‘Skill-boosting Screentime’ guide (with a topic-based video game directory) includes games for a mix of ages too.
Will this work for PDA, ADHD & neurodivergent kids?
This pack was designed specifically with PDA & ADHD/AuDHD children in mind. However, all children are unique, especially when there’s neurodivergence and burnout in the mix. What might work one day, won’t necessarily work another – but the resources are designed to give you flexible ideas to revisit as needs and interests change.
The intention of The Low-Demand Learning Pack is that you have tips and tools on-hand to try when dysregulation is low and your children are open to having hands-on, curious fun in short bursts.
What if my child refuses to do anything that feels like learning?
I get it! This resource was created specifically for children who struggle to engage with anything they deem ‘educational’. The ideas and tools inside invite learning through play, autonomy, curiosity, hands-on fun and even video games – so learning feels natural and novel, not enforced.
What does “low-demand” mean?
“Low-Demand” is a term commonly used in the neurodivergent community, particularly when discussing approaches for those with PDA (’pathological demand avoidance’ or ‘a pervasive drive for autonomy’). Individuals with PDA experience an anxiety reaction to demands/expectations, and therefore a low-demand approach lowers the amount of demands placed on them. “Low-demand learning” is an approach where being “told what to do” is kept to a minimum, and autonomy and choice are key.
My child gets bored easily - will this help with that?
Yes! This pack was created for children who are highly sensory and stimulation seeking. Children who need fun, novelty and hands-on engagement to stay interested! The resources also open-ended, in that they can be used for however long they can manage.
My child hates writing - will that matter?
Nope! This pack was developed to support children who struggle with written work and instead favour hands-on experimentation, creativity, sensory-fun and… screens! It does also include writing prompts to encourage writing skills in those who are reluctant.
